What is the one meditation book I should give someone I want to get interested in meditating? She’s very intelligent, skeptic and is now going through the big loss in her life.

Hmm.. As a person who has been for many years advising people about their problems and writing answers which include how meditation can help them and accurate resources about meditation, I paused for a while reading this question.

Perhaps she would feel interested in the aura of Sadhguru who was also a skeptic before he got enlightened, and a book about death itself that he has recently published. Sadhguru is also one of the brightest people I have ever witnessed, not in the pure intellectual sense, but in an existential, holistic way. If she opens herself up to see the intensity of this person, from there she can go into any meditation book, because I feel it is highly accurate to say that he IS meditation, living it. (Note: I didn’t read the book yet, I know its outline, but that is not the point.)

For learning meditation I suggest starting with this resource after reading this article.
